Berries, Italian-style

Fresh berries with balsamic vinegar and maple syrup.

  • 1/4 cup Vermont Maid┬« Pancake Syrup
  • 2 Tbsp. Regina┬« Raspberry Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries (cored and sliced)
  • 1/2 pint raspberries, blackberries or blueberries
  • cracked black pepper (optional)
  • biscotti (optional)


In mixing bowl, mix syrup and vinegar. Add berries; toss gently to coat with dressing. Cover and refrigerate for 15 minutes. Spoon fruit mixture into 4 stemmed dessert glasses. Top with cracked black pepper, if desired. Serve with biscotti. *Pitted fresh cherries, halved, may be used in place of raspberries, blackberries or blueberries.
